Included in the wrap-around services in addition to our traditional programs are: counseling, home visits, individual consultations and referrals.

"Moment Making Mondays"

WMFC is now offering parenting enhancement groups on Monday evenings. Groups will run for eight week sessions. No matter what your family makeup is in age or issues, we have something for everyone!

Monday night activities begin with a potluck dinner from 5:30-6:00 PM. Following dinner, from 6:00-7:30 PM, parents have the opportunity to explore and learn in small group discussion. All groups are led by a qualified facilitator to help enhance the family experience.

Christmas "Help" for Families in Need

Throughout the year, the essence of generosity is continually demonstrated at the West Midland Family Center, but at no time is it more evident than during the holiday season when the Center is a whirlwind of activity.

The West Midland Family Center, working with the Voluntary Action Center, "matches" families with "sponsors", who "adopt" them for the holiday season. As "matches" are made, a team of enthusiastic staff members, volunteers and donors, spends hundreds of hours shopping, wrapping, sorting and distributing gifts to the needy families. (Gifts are also distributed to schools, United Way agencies, and nursing homes throughout Midland County.)

Each year over 1000 individuals are served through the phenomenal giving of the West Midland Family Center and the many donors and volunteers that link hands to help make Christmas a very special time for so many.

For more information on this program or to help in this outpouring of love, please contact Renee Young at 832-3256.
