WMFC School Age Programs
2nd through 5th Grade

WMFC After School Program (ASP)
Fall Session: September - December
Spring Session: January - May

WMFC is the after school place to be for students in grades 2-5 and it is easy to get here! Bullock Creek Public Schools provides daily bus transportation for students from Bullock Creek Schools to the Center so that they can participate in a number of great after school activities.

Once students arrive at the Center, they are offered a variety of activities some of which include crafts, recreation, computer lab time, and guest speakers!

Every week special guests from the Circle of Health Partnership and Junior Achievement provide fun, educational opportunities and experiences for ASP students. In addition, children are taught "Positive Action" lessons which are designed to develop and instill positive social behaviors, such as non-bullying and playing fair!

WMFC strongly believes that education should not end at school. As a result, ASP students have a time each day, that is specifically set aside for homework and assisted reading. If a child needs extra help or assistance in their school work, WMFC staff members are proactive in finding the help that is needed. Often WMFC staff members contact teachers in order to get assistance for children in the areas that they might be struggling in.

Where there is no cost for this program, parents are required to pre-register their child! Registration is ongoing. Please call Stacey Urbani, 989-832-3256 or email Stacey at urbanis@wmfc.org, for additional information.
