Drama Items
Umbrella Stroller, Barbie Dream House, Barbie Car, Barbies, Fisher Price People for doll house, GI JOE toys,
Costumes that fit 9-12 yr. old children, Doll Clothes, Barbie Clothes.
Athletic Equipment and Clothing
5 Footballs, Flag Football Waste Flags, Soccer Goals, Softball Gloves, Batting Helmets,
Bathing Suits for boys and girls.
Winter Needs
Coats, hats, scarves, snow pants, flannels,
mittens for preschool children, gloves and boots for
elementary/high school (all sizes). Quilts, blankets, bath towels, washcloths, sheets,
pillows and pillow cases (twin or doubles).
Emergency Needs
Boxed or canned foods. Gift certificates from any grocery store, gas cards or propane
certificates. Phone cards. Personal hygiene items, Rid-It lice kits, diapers. Smoke
alarms, fire extinguishers. County Connection tickets. Teen hygiene supplies, make-up.
Program Needs
Preschool, Afterschool, Summer Programs
Lego's, swim goggles, and graphing calculators. Fantasy "dress-up"
clothes (preschool size). Educational toys and books, plastic food,
dolls
and store gift certificates. Computer games (none with violence). Multiple discs of
used non-violent CD Rom computer games.
Any small item for the "Prize Box".
Art Materials
Markers, crayons, stencils, poster board, colored pencils and art sets, paint and brushes,
craft projects, scrapbook supplies, picture frames, pocket folders, scissors, tape,
ribbon, construction paper, contact paper, glue, rulers, notebooks.
Gym and Recreation
Baseball bats, gloves, basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, playground balls, tennis
balls and rackets, roller blades, helmets, kneepads, wrist guards, hula-hoops, jump ropes,
scooters, assortment of new gym shoes to be used as "loaners" for children without proper
gym shoes.
"Cool Stuff" for Youth Volunteer and Recognition Awards.
Examples: Movie or performance or athletic tickets, food gift certificates, gel pens,
clock radios, car accessories, disposable cameras, film, portable CD players, current
CD's, hand-held games, school organizers, book bags, tee shirts, and professional team jerseys.
Building Needs
Rakes, shovels, brooms, garden tools, hoses, beanbag chairs, portable CD player,
storage shelving, book binding machine, colorful inspirational artwork/prints for
teen office walls.
More Ways To Help...
Program Needs that Organizations Might Want to Fund
Digital video camera $500. Playground equipment items $1,500-$10,000.
Holiday Gifts
Adopt a family. These gifts are for families who missed the Sharing Tree Program
registration deadline of early October. Typically a donation of $100 will help cover
a small family and a donation of $200 will help cover a large family.
Donated Vehicles
We accept automobiles/trucks for struggling families. (We make reasonable repairs on
most vehicles.) Some vehicles are sold to provide funds for other vehicles to be fixed.
Mini-vans are needed for Center transportation. We can always use talented volunteers
to help with repairs on vehicles.
Volunteer Opportunities
Tutors and mentors for elementary and middle school children are needed.
Support group assistants, drivers for appointments and home delivered meals, Bingo
helpers, various sports clinics, reception, help with parent education meals, computer training,
administrative support and various
committees.
