Family Services
No one has to do it alone
West Midland Family Center’s Family Services department provides wrap-around services to support the whole family. Whether that support is needed regularly, occasionally, or only once, our specialists empower parents and individuals to overcome the challenges they face.
We are here to help.
We offer many different support services to help families through a wide range of stresses. We also collaborate with a number of other agencies to offer services found in Midland right here at WMFC.
-
A variety of classes are offered each year, reflecting the needs and interests of our community. We have partnered with The Legacy Center for Community Success for digital and financial literacy, MSU Extension for free online parenting classes, Conscious Discipline courses, and so much more.
-
We partner with the Diaper Alliance to offer free diaper support once per month to those in need.
-
As part of the Midland County Food Access Network, those in need of food can have their orders filled at WMFC, or utilize our You Pick style and select your own resources from our range of goods.
It starts with a call to MCFAN at (989) 486-9393 and choose WMFC as your site
-
We have partnered with Family and Children’s Services to offer free counseling for the community. Please reach out to Family Services if you would like more info.
-
If you are in a shutoff process with Consumer’s Energy, we can place a hold on your account to prevent losing service while you secure resources.
-
A number of events are offered each year for families to come together and enjoy meals and activities. These events are also great ways to connect with your neighbors and community.
-
These playgroups are a free, fun, and safe place where parents and children come together to play, socialize, and enjoy activities.

WMFC strives to help as many families and individuals as possible. Please reach out to Family Services for available resources.
