Qualifications
- Must be at least 15 years old.
- Provide I-9 identification (Ex: Social Security card, Drivers License)
- Good people skills.
- Cerftification in CPR, AED and First Aid is a plus.
- Must obtain a work permit from attending school if under the age of 18.
Experience Required
- Prior work experiences in waterfront and/or swimming pools is preferred.
- Teaching experience preferred but not necessary.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
Major Duties Include:
- Enforce policies, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents and hazardous situations. Monitor the activity levels of WMFC visitors.
- Assist in emergency situations quickly by using proper techniques.
- Assist in maintaining a safe environment while letting people have fun.
- Model appropriate behavior.
- Maintain a professional appearance regardless of weather and environment.
- Assist in opening and closing duties as assigned by lead aquatic staff.
Other Duties Include:
- Check chemical balances in the pool.
- Check for patron wristbands.
- Perform pool and lockerroom cleaning and maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
- There is potential for biohazardous material exposure.
- There is a potential of a hostile work environment due to conflict and enforcing policies and procedures.
